“To have a good attitude is my decision.”
2I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4A froward heart shall depart from me:
Psalms 101:2-4a
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8
14 Live a cheerful life, without complaining or division among yourselves.
Philippians 2:14 TPT
Life is full of decisions. We can’t control everything that happens to us, but we can choose how we respond. When someone hurts us, the feelings may be real, but we do not have to let those feelings rule us. We can choose to hold on to offense, or we can ask God for the strength to let it go.
God has given us His Word to show us how to live and help us recognize a wise choice. He has also promised to strengthen us to make that choice, even in the hardest seasons. Whatever we face, we can turn to Him and take the next step in faith.
…Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.— Charles Swindoll
Victory Decision
I cannot control what others do or say, but I can control my response to all situations. Therefore, like David, I make a conscious decision to have a good attitude.
