Prayer

“One source of strength in prayer is remembering and speaking forth past blessings.”

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.  I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.  They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

Psalm 145: 4-5, 7

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

1 Samuel 17:37

Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same—yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 (The Passion Translation)

Everything you pray for with the fullness of faith you will receive!

Matthew 21:22 (The Passion Translation)

We should never forget what God has done for us. He is faithful, and remembering His goodness can strengthen our faith for what we face today. We don’t have to live in the past to be thankful for it. We can recall the times God has helped us and bring that gratitude into prayer.

Psalm 100 invites us to come into God’s presence with thanksgiving and praise. As The Message puts it, “Enter with the password: ‘Thank you!’” When we pray, let’s begin by thanking Him for what He has done and trusting Him with what lies ahead.

Victory Action

I will praise God for what God has blessed me with in the past and I will pray in faith believing today knowing He still hears and answers prayer.
