Attitude is a Decision

“To have a good attitude is my decision.

2I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4A froward heart shall depart from me:

Psalm 101:2-4a

Colossians 3:12

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”

Colossians 3:10

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22

As believers we are supposed to live in way that isn’t common to everyone. Our choice to have a positive attitude even in the midst of difficult circumstances shows that we are living out of our spirit. There is power in a cheerful heart. Proverbs 17:22 underscores the positive impact of a cheerful heart on physical and emotional well-being, contrasting it with the detrimental effects of a broken spirit. A positive attitude will even bring health to our bodies!

Victory Decision

I cannot control what others do or say, but I can control my response to all situations. Therefore, like David, I make a conscious decision to have a good attitude.
