Unlimited Resources

“When you come to the end of your resources, you have only begun to tap the unlimited resources of God.

1And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; 2And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way. 8And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 11And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; 15And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company. 17And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. 18And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. 19And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

1 Samuel 30

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

Throughout the Bible we see God providing for His children. Whether it was in the wilderness or in the home of a widow, God provided more than enough. He provides wisdom, comfort, and peace when we need it. Peace that passes our natural understanding. It is His peace. Let God replace your almost enough with His more than enough! He created Heaven and Earth. He spoke and light was created. All that didn’t even scratch the surface of resources. He has what you need. See past your limited abilities and focus on God’s unlimited supply.

Victory Decision

I will remember daily that God’s love for me and His ability to supply is unlimited. Through obedience, prayer and faith I will tap into the unlimited resources of God.

Faith Response

“The action of heaven is waiting on faith on the earth.

19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:19

11Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

Isaiah 45:11

Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.  For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Luke 7:6-10

Did you notice in the passage of scripture in Luke 7 that Jesus really didn’t “do” anything to heal the centurion’s servant? He didn’t go anoint the servant with oil. He didn’t call for the elders of the church. He didn’t lay hands of the servant. He didn’t even pray. Now those are all actions that the Word of God directs to do when dealing with the sick. But this particular passage shows us the strength of one person’s faith. The centurion understood authority, he was the commander of 100 men. Even being Roman, many of whom worshiped false gods, this man believed that Jesus had the power to heal. Even from a distance! He sent people to tell Jesus NOT to come to his house! He said just say the word and my servant will be healed. What did Jesus do? He spoke of the man’s faith with admiration to the crowd around Him. God moved in response to faith and the servant was healed.

Victory Action

I will not make God wait on me! I will build my faith through the study of God’s Word. I will step out in faith at His direction. As I do, God will respond to my faith and confirm His Word with signs following.

Walking in Love

“Love is a decision, not an emotion.”

Love is large and incredibly patient.[f] Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous[g] when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated[h] or quick to take offense.[i] Love joyfully celebrates honesty[j] and finds no delight in what is wrong.[k] Love is a safe place of shelter,[l] for it never stops believing the best for others.[m] Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.

I Corinthians 13:4-7 (Passion Translation)

14 Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest];

I Corinthians 14:1 (Amplified Bible)

12 No one has ever gazed[a] upon the fullness of God’s splendor.[b] But if we love one another, God makes his permanent home in us, and we make our permanent home in him, and his love is brought to its full expression in us.

I John 4:12 (Passion Translation)

Love is the bottom line. You will not go anywhere spiritually or in your relationships until you get your love walk straight! Living a life ruled by the love of God is what opens you up to walk in the spirit and live in the highest measure of the blessing and power of God! If you want to walk in love, you will have to make a decision to yield to that force of love on the inside of you. You will have to resist the selfish tendencies of the flesh and choose to live a life governed by love. Making these changes is not as difficult as it may sound. In fact, the key to developing your love walk is wonderfully simple. You do it by maintaining a close relationship with God—fellowshipping with Him, reading the Bible, praying and staying in union with Him.

Victory Decision

Today I will remember what great love God has for me despite my failings. I will choose to view others the same way. From this point on I choose to walk in love.

Prayer Works

“When your back is against the wall, try knees on the floor.

5But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb. 6And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb. 7And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat. 10And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. 17Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. 20Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

I Samuel 1:5-7, 10, 17, 20

40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

Acts 9:40

24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Acts 16:24-26

When circumstances begin to put pressure on us we have a choice to begin to fear and complain or take the problem to God in prayer. What is your default position? Do you fear first then pray? Do you get depressed? Do you blame others? Lots of people do. However, that will not solve the issue. If you want to spend less time on the negative side of things then learn to pray first. When you feel the pressure of overdue bills, unruly children, difficult family members that is when you need to go to the Word of God and find scriptures that relate to your need. Take those scriptures to God in prayer and leave the situation in God’s hands. He is faithful! He will confirm His Word with signs following and lead you to victory in every situation.

Victory Action

When I have trouble, I will go to God in prayer first.

A Sure Foundation

“When your feelings are overwhelming, you can count on the Word of God.

22And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. 23For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. 25Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

Acts 27:22-25

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. 7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.  8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

Psalm 112:1, 7-8

10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified Bible)

16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one![a] 17–18 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword[b] of the spoken word of God.

Ephesians 6:16-18 (Passion Translation)

The Word of God is a sure foundation for your life. Build your life on this foundation you will become a tower of strength and stability. Life can be overwhelming. When you are under attack it easy to let your feelings get the best of you. Racing thoughts of fear or doom can overtake your faith if you let them. You must resist the devil and the thoughts he would like to plant in your mind. You do that by speaking the Word of God. If you resist, he will flee.

Victory Action

I will put the Word of God in my heart daily in order to stand firm in the times of testing.
