\u201cB<\/strong>uild your faith on the Word, not testimonies alone.\u201d<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

It is wonderful to hear a testimony about God coming through in someone’s life. However, while that testimony can certainly be encouraging it really doesn’t have the power to change YOUR life. Only God’s Word can do that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 10:17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up<\/strong>, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acts 20:32<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building a house is wonderful example of how important a foundation is. Without it the house has nothing to stabilize it. The foundation of a home also shows you how big it will be. So it is with the Word of God. When you plant it in your heart you are building the foundation for your life. You are laying the ground work for your testimony of God’s faithfulness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them<\/strong> [obeying them] will be like a\u00a0[a<\/a>]<\/sup>sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock<\/strong>. 25\u00a0<\/sup>And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.26\u00a0<\/sup>And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand.27\u00a0<\/sup>And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell\u2014and great\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0complete was the fall of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
