{"id":283,"date":"2022-02-28T06:29:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T11:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/drbobnichols.calvarycathedral.org\/?p=283"},"modified":"2022-01-31T15:12:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T20:12:43","slug":"prayer-and-confession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calvarycathedral.org\/wpbobnichols\/2022\/02\/28\/prayer-and-confession\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer and Confession"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" id=\"you-have-to-pray-it-before-you-say-it\"><strong>\u201cY<\/strong>ou have to pray it before you say it!<strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><sup>14<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em>And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: &nbsp;<strong><sup>15<\/sup><\/strong>And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><strong>I John 5:14-15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&nbsp;<strong><sup>23<\/sup><\/strong>For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. &nbsp;<strong><sup>24<\/sup><\/strong>Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><strong>Mark 11:23-24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are wondering why your prayers aren&#8217;t answered &#8211; then you need to examine what you are praying and what you are saying. God is faithful and He does answer prayer but He also gave His Word so we would know what to pray for. God&#8217;s Word is our standard for life and it outlines God&#8217;s will for our lives. The Bible tells us what God has provided for us. It tells us what Jesus won for us when He died on the cross. It should be the foundation of what we are praying and what we are saying. When you find a promise in the Bible, apply that to your life through prayer. Then no matter the circumstance stick to it! Keep saying what God says about your life. Not what you see now. God confirms His <strong>Word<\/strong> with signs following.
