1<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2<\/sup><\/strong>And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3<\/sup><\/strong>And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4<\/sup><\/strong>Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5<\/sup><\/strong>And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6<\/sup><\/strong>And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7<\/sup><\/strong>And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Luke 5:1-7<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When people come together and share their resources and skills more can be accomplished with less effort. A bigger impact can be made. There are some things that just can’t be done without a partner. When you become a partner with another person or organization you become part of a team. Everyone benefits from the partnership. We see in the story in Luke that Jesus needed a place to teach the crowd from. When he saw the ships He knew they had been out fishing already because they were washing their nets. But after Jesus was finished teaching He wanted to bless the boat owner. It took faith on the part of Simon to do what Jesus said. When he obeyed he received a huge blessing! So much so it was more than he could bring in himself so he had to call for his partners to help. When we partner with God we will always reap an abundant harvest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n I will choose to look for opportunities to partner with God.
