{"id":175,"date":"2026-09-28T11:04:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/drbobnichols.calvarycathedral.org\/?p=175"},"modified":"2026-09-28T11:04:17","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:04:17","slug":"the-overcomer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calvarycathedral.org\/wpbobnichols\/2026\/09\/28\/the-overcomer\/","title":{"rendered":"The Overcomer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><b>\u201cA<\/b>n overcomer is NOT one who does not fall, but one who REFUSES to stay down.<b>\u201d <\/b><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><b>&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><i><sup>23<\/sup><\/i><i>The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. <sup>24<\/sup>Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Psalms 37:23-24<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><i><sup>10<\/sup><\/i><i>Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Isaiah 41:10<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"text Mic-7-8\">Do not rejoice over me [amid my tragedies], O my enemy! <\/span><span class=\"text Mic-7-8\">Though I fall, I will rise;<\/span><br>\n<span class=\"text Mic-7-8\">Though I sit in the darkness [of distress], the&nbsp;<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>&nbsp;is a light for me.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Micah 7:8 (Amplified Bible)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a saying that failure is temporary, but giving up can make it permanent. Don\u2019t let a mistake convince you to stop pursuing God\u2019s plan for your life. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our ever-present help in trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve taken a wrong turn, begin by turning back to Him. Repent, receive His forgiveness, and take the next step. Your mistake does not have to be the end of your story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><b>Victory Decision<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;I will not let my mistakes keep me down.
