And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: <\/span><span id=\"en-KJV-25203\" class=\"text Luke-7-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7&nbsp;<\/sup>Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. <\/span><span id=\"en-KJV-25204\" class=\"text Luke-7-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">&nbsp;<\/sup>For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.<\/span><span id=\"en-KJV-25205\" class=\"text Luke-7-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9&nbsp;<\/sup>When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found <strong>so great faith<\/strong>, no, not in Israel.<\/span><span id=\"en-KJV-25206\" class=\"text Luke-7-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10&nbsp;<\/sup>And they that were sent, returning to the house, <em>found the servant <strong>whole<\/strong> that had been sick.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Luke 7:6-10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Luke 7, Jesus healed the centurion\u2019s servant without going to his home. He did not lay hands on the servant or pray over him in person. The centurion believed Jesus had authority to heal even from a distance. \u201cJust say the word,\u201d he said, \u201cand my servant will be healed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a commander of soldiers, the centurion understood what it meant to speak with authority. He trusted that Jesus\u2019 authority extended over sickness, too. Jesus marveled at his faith, and when the messengers returned home, they found the servant well. This account reminds us that distance is no obstacle to Jesus\u2019 power. We can take Him at His word and trust His authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><b>Victory Action<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will not make God wait on me! I will build my faith through the study of God&#8217;s Word. I will step out in faith at His direction.
